PS 150 is a vibrant school in New York City with a student-centered outlook on education. In nurturing community-building and well-rounded learning experiences for every student, PS 150 learns how fresh branding can help them ace their goals.
With a predominant visual focus, we strived to enrich the outdated website design and lack of unified branding aesthetically.
Since the site is focused on guiding and inspiring parents and students, the poor user experience (UX) and limited diversity needed a lesson in connoting community.
Part of these areas for improvement stems from the need for a more engaging brand overall. To support PS 150’s values (diversity, adversity, academic excellence, community spirit), all these digital identity and design elements needed strong cohesion and creativity.
We adopted a new color palette inspired by the original duck egg blue and updated fonts. Together, these changes represent new beginnings, harmony, and creativity. Achieving these enticing aspects helps connect PS 150’s mission of excellence in academic and personal growth.
To highlight the wonder and individuality that PS 150 encourages in its students, we designed unique illustrations. These gold star-worthy geometric shapes are diverse and represent whimsical characters. Along with the mascot, Woolfie, and merchandise that we created, these elements explore a sense of community, school pride, and clear brand identity.
Our transformed version of the PS 150 website blends the rebranding guidelines we established. This, plus the responsive web design and intuitive navigation, encourages engagement. Through playful and simple layouts, parents and students can always feel connected and informed about the school’s exciting initiatives and events.
